About Me.
Ava van Ameringen (van - AHM - er - ring - en) is a bubbly, wide-eyed, curvaceous actress located in Virginia Beach, VA. She recently graduated from VCUarts Theatre with her BFA, where she was awarded the Theatrical Promise Award. There, she was a member of her college's improv team, the co-host of a variety show, and performed in many VCU Cinema short films! She has gained experience in mainly improv, camera acting, sketch comedy, singing, dancing, and modeling at VCUarts. Her sweet spots are comedies, horror, and playing odd/unhinged women.
Besides acting, Ava enjoys fashion, hula-hooping, swimming at the beach, and weight lifting. In fact, her current personal record for Romanian deadlifts is 115 lbs - in case you were curious.
She has had a passion for the arts ever since she was a little girl watching Princess movies, but knew she'd be an actress forever when she helped with costumes for her high school's play for the first time. Ava was given the chance to be backstage during the show, and couldn't help but cry from how happy it made her seeing the magic of the actors on stage. That's when her love for acting truly sparked, and from then on, it became her top priority. Acting gave her the confidence back she once had as a small girl singing to Cinderella, and she wouldn't be the same confident woman today without it.
